Skyline and Project Hosts team together to provide hosted Skyline Construction Series

February 22, 2010

Skyline Vertical Solutions today announced a partnership with Project Hosts to provide on demand access to the Skyline Construction Series.

The complex project management challenges facing contractors today, including documentation requirements, increased regulation, safety concerns, and environmental consequences require IT support beyond the reach of many businesses.  Skyline Construction Series simplifies business processes for contractors and now can simplify the technology support as well. Contractors can control IT spending and get full access to Skyline Construction Series in addition to Microsoft Project Server, Project Portfolio Server, CRM, and SharePoint through the hosted software services from Project Hosts.

“By teaming with Project Hosts, we are uniquely positioned to provide a competitive edge for smaller and mid-size contractors including architects, engineers, municipal service authorities, and owners," says Henry Hickman, President of Skyline Vertical Solutions. “By using the full power of Microsoft technology, connecting project information across the organization and making it instantly available in the office and in the field, contractors can now more effectively track key day to day activities while reducing overall expenses.”

Whether building infrastructure, managing economic stimulus contracts or performing commercial construction, project teams need to easily track and record virtually all information while simultaneously delivering services on time and within budget.  Built on the Microsoft xRM platform, the Skyline Construction Series includes the ability to track contacts and leads, manage opportunities, perform service activities and engage in marketing while utilizing the powerful workflow engine to increase efficiencies.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 Client Success Story

April 1, 2009

Skyline announces the successful implementation of a 72 seat Microsoft Dynamics CRM solution at one of the leading Mechanical and Electrical Contractors in the state of Virginia.

The original review and functional fit process was performed over a number of months based on a customer service and sales initiative within the firm. This internal review covered existing customer related processes and was developed as a blueprint to achieve a 360 degree view of its customers and prospects. The Skyline team was provided with this report and used it as the focal point for an initial Dynamics CRM fit and function assessment. During the review process with key team members of both Skyline and the client, a series of presentations were performed delineating specific reviews of fit and process mapping. In the final analysis, the firm selected Microsoft Dynamics CRM for its user-interface, overall customization capabilities and integration with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook and Excel.

The implementation process included installation, process reviews, and on-site training. Key tasks performed included a full ACT migration with modified conversion tables for additional notes. Additional functionality developed included an integration engine with their existing project based financial industry solution and a custom file attachment window that more closely followed their processes.
